MACON, GA -- Ryan Michel broke a 1-1 tie in the second period and the Macon Mayhem cruised the rest of the way topping Roanoke 4-1 Friday night at home.

Jake Trask got the scoring for the Blue Sweaters blasting a one-timer in front of the goal on a feed from Daniel Gentzler.

Holding a 2-1 lead in the third period, Dennis Sicard gave the Mayhem some breathing room less than five minutes into the period. Stathis Soumelidis rammed home an empty netter with just under two minutes remaining.

Jordan Ruby was stout in net as usual stopping 33 of 34 shots faced.

With the win, the Mayhem wrap up home ice throughout the SPHL playoffs. Macon will wrap up the regular season Saturday night against Roanoke with a 7:35 puck drop.
