MACON, Ga. -- After collecting 80 points and earning the William B. Coffey trophy, Macon Mayhem head coach Kevin Kerr was tabbed as the SPHL's Coach of the Year Wednesday morning.

Kerr has instrumented one of the largest turnarounds in SPHL history with a 27-point improvement from last season.

Kerr led the Mayhem to 19 road wins this season and set a new league record for an eight game road winning streak to start the season.

At 37-13-6, the Mayhem earned a first round win over Columbus in a three-game series to head to the semi-finals.

The Mayhem will face off against Pensacola Wednesday night at 7:35 p.m. in Florida.

Fayetteville's Jeff Bes finished second in voting and the league will announce its MVP on Thursday.
