Hornets acquire C Dwight Howard in trade
ATLANTA, GA -- Dwight Howard has a new home for the fourth time in five years.
ESPN's Marc Spears reported the Hawks have agreed to trade the Atlanta-native Howard to the Charlotte Hornets.
The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reports Atlanta will receive forward Miles Plumlee, guard Marco Belinelli, and the 41st draft pick in exchange for Howard and the 31st pick.
Howard averaged 13.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 1.24 blocks per game last season. Atlanta exited the playoffs in the first round with a 4-2 series loss to Washington. Just before 9 p.m. Dwight Howard took to Twitter to ask his fans about trades prior to the 2017 NBA Draft.
