NASCAR's Suarez ready for Cup Series debut
With the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season only 11 days away, one of the sports' freshest and biggest names made his way to Macon Wednesday afternoon.
2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Daniel Suarez stopped by WGXA News as he gears up for his first Cup season. The rookie became the first Mexican-born driver to win the Championship in racing history.
The newest member of the Joe Gibbs Racing Cup Series team, Suarez replaces Carl Edwards who retired earlier in 2017.
Suarez is gearing up for the Daytona 500 in less than two weeks but says he's ready for the real season to begin with the QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 5.
