Tattnall-alum Slaughter to attend WNBA Training Camp

MACON, GA -- Former Tattnall basketball star and Florida State standout Ivey Slaughter will get her shot at the professional level.

The Macon-native earned an invite to training camp by the New York Liberty.

A four-year letter winner, Slaughter finished her career at Florida State top five in games played, games started, free throw attempts, and rebounds. Slaughter eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in her senior season. The forward finished her career with 1,268 points, 912 rebounds, and 66 blocks.

This past season, Slaughter helped Florida State to a 28-6 record and a trip to the Elite 8.

Slaughter led Tattnall Square Academy to the 2013 GISA State Championship.

The Liberty fell to Phoenix in the 2016 WNBA Playoffs.
