Brittany Collins joined WGXA September 2015 as a multimedia journalist/reporter. You can watch her on the evening and night newscasts on ABC16 at 6 and 11 p.m. and FOX24 at 5 and 10 p.m..

Brittany is originally from St. Petersburg, FL. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL with a B.S. Degree in Broadcast Journalism.

When attending FAMU, Brittany interned at CBS News in New York City, working for The 'CBS News Sunday Morning' show. She also interned with the 'Capital News Service' in Tallahassee, FL.

Brittany was a reporter for her school's newscast, News 20 at five. She was honored to receive an SEJC award for "Best TV Hard News Reporter," an SEJC award for "Best College Video News Program," an SPJ Mark of Excellence award for "Non-Fiction Magazine Article" and an SPJ Mark of Excellence award for "Best All-Around Television Newscast."

Brittany is very bubbly and down to earth. She loves interacting with new people on a daily basis. As a child, she always knew story telling through journalism was her calling. She's very passionate about what she does.

Brittany is a member of National Association of Black Journalists, Society of Professional Journalists, and Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc.

In her spare time, Brittany enjoys jogging, reading, watching movies, traveling, eating and spending time with her family and friends.
