Napierra Alexander joined WGXA in May 2016 as the weekday FOX24 10 p.m. producer. She graduated with honors just a month prior with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Florida A&M University's School of Journalism & Graphic Communication.
While attending FAMU, she wrote for the university's newspaper, The Famuan, and was the Monday producer for the FAMU TV-20 newscast. Napierra is a proud member of The National Association of Black Journalist, and also served as her university's chapter vice-president her senior year.
Another one of her achievements was being the first student at her college to successfully produce her own entertainment show called "The Music Box" that showcased local and underground artists. Napierra won the Courtney Simms Vision Award, which is given to students who show continuous effort and a leader to others.
Napierra was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. She spends her free time burning rubber on her motorcycle and marking up her passport as she continues to travel the world. One of her favorite quotes is " Power is the ability to define reality" by Dr. Wade Noble.
