JONES COUNTY, Ga. -- A Jones County man is charged with dogfighting after someone called in a tip to the sheriff's office.
The caller told deputies dogfighting was taking place in the backyard of a home on Kingsview Circle.

When deputies got to the home, they witnessed multiple dogs, "all in poor condition," and "many with old injuries." Deputies said when they got to the scene, it appeared as though some of the dogs had just fought.
Shadaar Williams, 25, was arrested and charged with six counts of dogfighting and six counts of animal cruelty. The sheriff's office says it expects to make another arrest in this case soon.
Deputies report that six dogs were rescued from the property.
