ATLANTA -- The Georgia Secretary of State's Office has been evacuated.

According to a spokesman for the SOS, the office along with Secretary Brad Raffensperger were evacuated for safety reasons.

Specifics on the circumstances in Atlanta haven't yet been provided.

The evacuation came as the US Capitol was put on lockdown following a breach of security from protestors. Protests were happening in Washington, DC Wednesday as President-elect Joe Biden's win was set to be confirmed.
