UPDATE 10:16 PM

MACON, Ga. -- Two truck drivers have been cited by the Motor Carrier Compliance Division after an accident on I-75 north Tuesday evening.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, it happened around 6:51 p.m. around mile marker 152, just south of Sardis Church Rd.

The driver of a truck pulling a flatbed trailer and the driver of a box truck were both in the far right lane when the wreck happened.

Sheriff's deputies say the driver of the box truck attempted to get into another lane, but was cut off by another driver.

The box truck driver tried to get back into the far right lane, but the driver of the truck pulling a flatbed trailer had slowed down, causing the box truck to rear-end the other truck.

First responders had to free the box truck driver, who became entrapped in his truck cab because of the accident. Deputies say the box truck driver suffered from minor injuries but refused treatement, while the other driver had minor complaints and went to the hospital for evaluation.

The box truck driver was cited for failure to maintain lane, and the other driver was cited for not wearing a seatbelt.
