MACON, Ga. -- Parents pf pre-mature babies reunited with their nurses and doctors who brought their children to this world at the Navicent Health Annual Preemie Party at Hephzibah Children's home.

The party gives parents and caregivers and opportunity to interact in a non-stressful environment.

This year the party was super-hero themed and featured face painting, games and food.

Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Mitch Rodriguez, said 12% of all babies are born pre-maturely.

"It's a great opportunity for us to see this families once again and to just have that chance to enjoy with them the time and the fun that they are having, it's always interesting how the kids grow up obviously they don't recognize us but we recognize the family and we recognize them," said Mitch Rodriguez

This is the 15th year Navicent Health hosted the celebration.
