Deputies: Man, 22, arrested for Macon Transit Authority shooting

    MACON, Ga. (WGXA) - A 22-year-old man is in custody for Monday morning's shooting at the Macon Transit Authority, deputies say.

    Bibb County Sheriff's Office says Jalen Brown shot 32-year-old Harold Walters during an altercation. Walters is in the hospital in stable condition.

    Brown turned himself into deputies at the Bibb Law Enforcement Center. He is charged with theft by receiving, for being in possession of a stolen gun and Aggravated Assault.

    Brown is being held on a $31,750 bond.

    MACON, Ga. (WGXA) - A man is in the hospital recovering after an early morning shooting outside the Macon Transit Authority, according to Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

    Deputies say the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. when two men outside of Macon Transit Authority got into an argument, which lead to the shooting. The male victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

    According to deputies on scene, a man has been taken into custody for questioning.

    Names have not yet been released.

    Macon Transit Authority -- located at 200 Cherry Street -- is open.

    Deputies add that during the incident, a vehicle traveling past the terminal station was struck by gunfire. However, the two people inside were not injured.
