Atlanta Airport: TSA sets record breaking checkpoint during Memorial Day travel
ATLANTA, Ga. (WGXA) -- Atlanta airport TSA agents delivered stellar service during one of the busiest slated holiday weekends.
On Friday, TSA Southeast shared that agents had completed one of their "most busiest morning rushes ever".
Agents checked in 31, 638 passengers between 3:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. in a record time of 8 minutes for pre-checked passengers, and a maximum 30-minute wait time for standard passengers.
For emphasis on just how efficient of a job the staff did, the site shared that its last morning record set was in February 2019, following Superbowl LIII.
A reported 31,086 passengers walked through security at the airport's checkpoints for travel.
