Atlanta Motor Speedway still has campsites for Florence evacuees, pets
ATLANTA -- Hurricane Florence evacuees are still trickling into campsites at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS), which made its facilities available earlier this week.
The company says its sites can handle thousands of campers. AMS welcomed its first evacuees Wednesday, and about 15 arrived by Thursday afternoon.
The speedway has two sets of parking for campers - one is free and the other costs $20 but includes a electric, water and sewer hookups for campers.
Anyone who evacuates to the campgrounds can use the showers for free.
