Bibb Co. deputies arrest man for criminal trespass, public indecency
MACON, Ga. -- Bibb County deputies arrested a 49-year-old man for criminal trespass, public indecency and public drunkenness at a barber shop on Pio Nono Ave. Tuesday.
A sheriff's report says deputies went to the Razor Line barber shop, where an employee of the barber shop pointed towards a nearby Fastee Foods, where a man was standing outside without a shirt on.
The deputy started talking with Mark Edward Smith, who reportedly appeared intoxicated but could still communicate with the deputy and didn't need immediate medical attention.
At that time, the deputy told Smith that the business owners wanted him to leave because he'd been harassing their customers. He reportedly complied and left.
The report says that the sheriff's office got a call about 45 minutes later saying that Smith was back in front of the businesses. The deputy returned to the scene and saw that Smith's pants were lowered to the point that a "portion of his buttocks were exposed" and that he was drinking in public.
The owner of Fastee Foods told the deputy that Smith was deterring customers to his business because he was walking up to customers and hugging them without asking.
Smith was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
