Bibb Co. deputies investigating auto break-in, theft in downtown Macon

MACON, Ga. -- Bibb County deputies are investigating a vehicle break-in that happened on Saturday at the Macon-Bibb Facility Management Office on 7th St. in downtown Macon.

A sheriff's report says a man was seen on surveillance footage entering into the locked, fenced and gated parking area of the facility just after 11:40 a.m. on Saturday.

After getting into the parking area, the man got into a Ford F150 by prying its window down and took a Dewalt Zaw Saw with a black bag from the truck, the report says.

A man who met with the deputy on Monday said that the saw had been discovered in a line truck that's used to fix traffic signals. The traffic signal truck also had a lockbox on its side that was unlocked and had a Milwaukee Impact Wrench taken from it.

The report says the suspect was seen on surveillance footage walking with the Impact Wrench - which is red and black, and looks like a drill - and the black bag.
