MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- The City of Milledgeville Water Department has issued a boil alert for residents on West Lakeview Drive from Short Cut Road to the end of West Lakeview Drive.
This is due to a water line break.
"City crews are working to get water service restored as quickly as possible, and repairs should be completed in the next few hours," the city says. "To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes."
