Investigators make arrest in murder of missing Macon man

MACON, Ga. -- Bibb County deputies have arrested a 36-year-old suspect for the murder of a Macon man who went missing in September.

A sheriff's release said Bibb County investigators, officers with the US Marshal Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Warner Robins police arrested Raymond Leverett, of Warner Robins.

The girlfriend of John Lewis Fleming, III first reported him missing nearly two months ago he reportedly never picked her up from a hair appointment.

The release said law enforcement discovered evidence during their investigation which led them to connect Leverett to Fleming's disappearance and murder. Leverett is reportedly being held without bond at the Bibb County LEC.
