SEMINOLE COUNTY, Ga. -- A child has passed away in Georgia's Seminole County as a result of Tropical Storm Michael.
That's according to the county's Emergency Management Agency (EMA) director Travis Brooks.
Brooks said the someone with the child called the county's 911 dispatcher when the incident happened.
He added that crews are working to reach the structure, which is on Highway 253, but downed power lines, poles and trees were still blocking their path as of 1 a.m.
Brooks said it appears first responders still have several more miles to clear until they are able to reach the structure.
