Cold air moves into the mid-state
MACON, Ga. -- A cold front moved through Middle Georgia this morning. This will cap our temperatures in the mid-50's for Monday.
Monday morning featured cloudy skies, drizzle and temperatures in the mid 50's. The front will cause our temperatures to decrease for the rest of the day. This afternoon we will see temperatures in the lower 50's.
The clouds will clear out and the wind will pick up. Both of those things will be a factor in the cool down. Winds could gust up to 30 mph north of Macon.
After sunset the temperatures will drop quickly. Middle Georgia will likely fall below the freezing point for a low tonight.
The cold weather will not last too long, but it will make an impact. We will see lows below 30 degrees on both Tuesday and Wednesday night before lows return to the 40's.
