Cordele police: Traffic stop leads to finding 'large amount of cash', marijuana

Cordele Police Department

CORDELE, Ga. -- A Cordele police officer arrested a local 39-year-old convicted felon after a traffic stop, the department said in a Facebook post.

The officer stopped the man because they noticed he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

The driver was found to have a suspended license, and the officer also found marijuana, a large amount of cash and a firearm with the serial number filed off, the post says.
