CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ga. -- Two victims perished in a house fire in Crawford County Thursday morning.
The blaze consumed a home on Hwy. 341 South.
Sheriff Lewis Walker states the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office got a call about the fire and entrapment just after 8 AM.
The fire happened at a home along the 2000 block of the highway, between Cactus Hill Rd. and Horne Rd.
The victims were identified as 99-year-old Missouri Graddick and 84-year-old Johnny Wellons.
Fire Chief Randall Pate said they had "a lot of agencies involved doing their part, so we're going to be out here for a while."
Officials couldn't speak to the victims' relationship with one another.
The Crawford County Sheriff's Office responded to assist with traffic.
Sheriff Walker is asking drivers to avoid the area until it's cleared up.
