Macon, GA-- Early Monday morning, Macon-Bibb fire crews responded to a vacant structure fire located at 1984 Fletcher Street in Macon. The vacant home sits at a dead end which appeared to have several piles of debris and old furniture scattered across the area.

Fire crews received the call just after 3:00 AM and arrived on the scene minutes later. According to Macon-Bibb Fire Captain Michael Williamson, the structure was a one-story brick duplex that had been vacant for years. Crews were able to put the fire out in about 45 minutes.
