ATLANTA (CNN) -- Georgia Democrats spoke just outside the state Capitol Monday afternoon to address Governor Brian Kemp's support of anti-Critical Race Theory bills.

They spoke after lawmakers passed several bills that would limit what topics can be discussed in public classrooms.

Democrats call the legislation censorship.

Topics like race, systemic bias, and sexuality are all at the top of the list.

The issue falls on strict party lines just as officials, including Kemp, campaign for reelection.

In his State of the State address, Kemp accused teachers of wanting to divide children along party lines and indoctrinate students.

"This is despicable and absolutely wrong. It's an all-out attack on our teachers by Brian Kemp," Democrats said Monday.

Governor Kemp has not issued a response at this time.
