Deputies: Customer's Dodge Challenger stolen from Macon repair shop
MACON, Ga. -- A customer at a Macon collision center reportedly had their Dodge Challenger stolen after the car was dropped off for repairs last Friday.
That's according to a Bibb County Sheriff's report, which says a Wrightsville man left the vehicle at FiveStar Collision, located at 851 Wimbish Rd., around 3 p.m. on October 26.
Around 9:30 a.m. Monday, a FiveStar employee noticed the car wasn't in the parking lot. Employees reportedly looked around for the vehicle but determined it was missing and called the owner, who also confirmed he hadn't stopped by to get it over the weekend.
The sheriff's report says employees mentioned that FiveStar Collision has security cameras, but that they "wouldn't have seen the vehicle where it was parked."
The vehicle is described as a 2017 black Dodge Challenger with a tag number of CGQ2937.
Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call the sheriff's office at 478-751-7500 or report anonymously at Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
