Deputies: Man, 58, tries to cash forged check at Macon business, arrested
MACON, Ga. -- A Warner Robins man is in custody after Bibb County Deputies say he tried to cash a forged check at Kevin's Check Cashing in Macon on Tuesday.
Michael Tucker, 58, is charged with 4th Degree Forgery.
According to a report, officers were called to Kevin's Check Cashing on Pio Nono Ave. for a man in custody trying to cash forged check.
Officers met with the business owner, who showed them the check that Tucker tried to cash.
The owner then showed deputies a passport with the name Deborah Gail Hayes. The owner said Hayes cashed a fraudulent check at Kevin's on Monday, but it was only found Tuesday morning when the owner of the check called the business to tell them one of her checks had been fraudulently cashed at the business.
Tucker was taken to Bibb Co. LEC.
