MACON, Ga. -- Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones has identified the shooting victim as 38-year-old Damond Cain Stevens.

Jones says Stevens died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

MACON, Ga -- Bibb County Deputies have started up a murder investigation after responding to shots fired call that happened Friday, May 22.

When deputies arrived on scene near the intersection of Houston Ave and Cynthia Ave. They found two male victims outside of the Bowden Homes apartment complex on Cynthia Avenue, one with a wound on his buttocks and the other a wound on his side.

Both victims were taken to The Medical Center, Navicent Health for treatment. According to deputies, the first victim has non-life threatening injuries but the second victim was later pronounced dead at Navicent.

Investigators are continuing to investigate this incident in an attempt to determine the events surrounding this incident.
