HOUSTON CO., Ga. -- A woman robbed a Sunoco in Houston Co. on Tuesday, running away before she could be identified.

According to the Houston County Sheriff's Office, officers were called to Sunoco at 7:30 p.m. for a female that just robbed the business.

Deputies learned that the woman entered the store and walked to a cooler to retrieve beer. She then approached the female clerk and demanded all of the cash from the register.

The clerk said she was wearing an orange shirt with a rainbow-colored bandanna covering her face. She then placed a hand in her pocket indicating she had a weapon, and the clerk gave the robber money. The woman then ran away.

No one was hurt during the incident, according to deputies.

Deputies say the suspect parked at a nearby business and approached the Sunoco on foot. She then ran from the gas station and left in a dark 1990s Ford F-150 with a scorpion image on the rear.

The investigation is ongoing.
