BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. -- Authorities in Baldwin County found a person drowned in Lake Sinclair Wednesday morning.
According to Capt. Michael Lumpkin of the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, authorities responded to a call of an abandoned boat Tuesday afternoon then called the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to check it out.
Lumpkin said that at about 9:30 Wednesday morning, DNR and the Georgia State Patrol dive team found the victim about 15 to 30 feet from the abandoned boat.
At this point, the identity and other information about the victim are not clear.
Lumpkin said that the death appears to be an accidental drowning.
