Early morning armed robbery at Macon Flash Foods gas station


    The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Flash Foods gas station/Barmel Lyons (WGXA)

    MACON, Ga. -- The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Flash Foods gas station.

    According to deputies, the armed robbery happened on Pio Nono Ave and Dewey Street just before 3 a.m.

    BSO says the gas station is currently closed while they investigate, but you can still purchase gas at the pump.

    No one was reportedly injured during the robbery.

    Deputies say a male suspect entered the store with a gun, demanded money from the cash register and then ran towards Dewey Street.

    The suspect was described as a black male. He had on a green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
