Early morning armed robbery in downtown Macon

MACON, Ga. -- Bibb County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for three suspects who reportedly robbed a man at gunpoint in downtown Macon early Monday morning.

According to a release, it happened just after 3 a.m. at the corner of Oak St and MLK Jr. Blvd. It was reported that the victim, Tobias Brown, 23, of Macon, had parked his car at the corner of Oak St, and MLK Jr. Blvd and was going to Club Dreams when he was approached by three men.

The men reportedly asked asked Brown for light for a cigarette as one of the suspects pulled out a pistol and ordered Brown into their vehicle.

They drove Brown to the corner of 5th St. made him get out of the vehicle, took his car keys and other personal items before driving off.

Brown told investigators that when he returned to his vehicle he saw the suspects drive away.

Brown was unable to give any description of the three men last known to be driving a black vehicle.

No one was injured during the incident.
