Early Thanksgiving morning house fire in South Macon

MACON, Ga.— Macon-Bibb fire crews responded to the scene of a house fire in South Macon just before 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.

When crews arrived to the home located in the 600 block of Moreland Avenue off of Flamingo Drive, flames and heavy smoke could be seen billowing from the roof.

It’s unclear if the home was occupied when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.

The roof of the home appeared to have collapsed as a result of the fire. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
