Longtime childhood friend Shatara Webb said she will always have his bright smile in her heart.

"Always joking, everybody that knew him he always cracked a joke he was always smiling," said Webb.

Hardwick loved to play basketball. During the service they displayed his favorite jersey and the last basketball he played with.

"Wherever he got the basketball with him and if you don't have a hoop you are fixing to create some type of hoop," Redding said.
