MACON, Ga. -- A father and son were at their east Macon home when a fire broke out Wednesday evening.
Battalion chief Timothy Johnson with the Macon-Bibb Fire Department said no one was injured, but added that the Summit Ave. home sustained heavy damage.
Firefighters were still on the scene around 9 p.m. Johnson said the fire also downed power lines on the street. Drivers should be reminded to never drive over downed power lines.
