Fire breaks out in Macon home, homeowners will be placed in housing through Red Cross
MACON, Ga -- The Macon-Bibb Fire Department responded to a house fire with no injuries but extensive damage to the home.
The home's occupants will be placed in housing through the Red Cross, according to Captain Lonnie Anderson with the Macon-Bibb Fire Department.
The fire department received the call at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 10 to the fire located on Wallace Dr.
Anderson confirmed that the fire started in the kitchen but investigators are unsure at this time of how it began.
He said that his team worked quickly to aggressively put out the fire and that about 15-20 firefighters were working the scene.
