MACON, Ga. -- Golf Professional Charlie Rymer is hosting a free golf clinic on Nov. 26 for children of all ages at Bowden Golf Course.

Children will receive group instruction and also participate in different competitions at the clinic.

Each child will also take home their down golf club. The first 100 children registered will get a free autographed hat from Rymer.

Food will be provided after the clinic for children and families.

Improving Bowden and increasing its use are part of the county's Forward Together Strategic Plan aimed to “support, encourage, and promote good living in Macon-Bibb with the arts and cultural events, tourism improvements, social and night life opportunities, and a community-wide system of passive and active recreation.”

The clinic runs from 2 to 4 p.m. To register for the golf clinic, call Bowden Golf Course’s Clubhouse at 478-742-1610.

Rymer spent over a decade on the PGA Tour and currently hosts Morning Drive on the Golf Channel. He also contributes to coverage of the NCAA Golf Championships.
