Fort Valley Utility Commission all set for Christmas parade

FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- The Fort Valley Utility Commission is gearing up for Sunday's parade.

Officials say they put together a float every year. This is the first year the Fort Valley Utility Commission is participating in the Macon Main Street Parade.

They say they like to show off how hard their team works for the customers

"We have got about as many lights as you can fit on this float," says Angie Luma, director of operations. "We really want to get as bright as possible -- and the guys did a great job putting all these lights on the float, putting the float together, making sure that everybody can see how bright the utility commission can be."

Officials say taking part in the parade helps them show community members that they're there for them and they take pride in being a part of the community.
