MACON, Ga. -- Georgia's first Ridin' With Biden Unity Parade went off in full swing with local and state officials.

The event drew in several Joe Biden supporters. According to a news release, supporters drove through downtown Macon to" let the world know that Georgia rejects the rhetoric of hate and division."

Macon-Bibb Commissioner-Elect Seth Clark spoke at the event sharing that Macon is "not Trump country."

He says Macon residents are kind, decent, and progressive. All these qualities he says he found in the Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

WGXA asked a local supporter what drew them to the event.

"To get our voices out, your vote matters. Don't do what we did 4 years ago and not vote," said the supporter.

She says when she saw Trump was coming to Macon the need to show there are two options to the presidency was important.

"There is love out here and we are voting for love."
