Georgia Forestry assists at Houston County carport fire

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Crews battled a fire in the 300 block of Henson Rd. in Houston County Tuesday afternoon.

Georgia Forestry assisted at the scene.

Chief Jimmy Williams with the Houston County Fire Department said the fire started when a carport caught on fire.

The carport was destroyed but the fire didn't spread to the home and no one was injured, Williams said.
