2 people were killed within hours of each other on Saturday

MACON, Ga.- UPDATED: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 26-year-old Tirell Darnell Mitchell in connection with the murder of 44-year-old Jim Julius Baldwin.

Anyone with information on where Mitchell may be is urged to call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

Two homicides are under investigation that happened early Saturday morning.

Deputies responded to a person being shot at the 1500 block of Berkner Avenue around 1:00a.m. on Saturday.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says when the deputies arrived on scene, they found a black male with a gunshot wound to his leg. The victim, Jim Julius Baldwin, was transported to Navicent Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect is still on the loose and is described as a black male in dark clothing.

Later on in the morning, the Bibb County Sheriff's office was called to investigate a homicide that happened on Mason Street between Anthony Road and Carroll Street. Deputies responded to a person shot, and upon arrival of the scene they found a black male lying in the road with a gunshot wound to his chest. The victim, identified as Marlon Jermaine Williams was pronounced dead on the scene. The next of kin was then notified and the suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived. The Sheriff's Office reports no one else was injured during the incident and there is no information for the suspect at this time.
