Houston County Sheriff's Office investigating alleged fraud by city employee
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- The Houston County Sheriff's Office is investigating alleged fraud or forgery by a Warner Robins city employee.
A sheriff's release says that on June 12, Warner Robins mayor Randy Toms got in touch with sheriff Cullen Talton about possible criminal misconduct involving city employees.
Toms asked the sheriff's office to investigate the alleged incidents, and the case was handed to the Criminal Investigations Division of the sheriff's office, the release says.
The release says that Toms gave information involving allegations made by one city employee who asked that an investigation be made into potential criminal activity by another city employee.
The sheriff's office is currently investigating this case.
