In His Glory Praise and Worship Center holds Annual End of the Year Citywide Prayer
PERRY, Ga. -- In His Glory Praise and Worship Center held the last morning of their Annual End of the Year Citywide Prayer.
At 6 a.m. Pastor James Parker Jr. and his wife Pastor Alma J. Parker gathered at the Georgia State Patrol Office and invited the community out to pray.
The prayer took place as the two surrounded the flag pole. Pastor Parker says the purpose of the prayer is, " to keep the city covered, keep all officials covered, and keep officers covered." He also adds how important it is for the community to know that this is not only for Perry, G.A. or the state of Georgia, it's for the whole nation.
The end of the year citywide prayer started on Saturday December 1, 2018 and ended Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The prayer began at 6 a.m. and took place at a new location every morning.
The locations were as followed:
- December 1, 2018 at the City Hall
- December 2, 2018 at the Police Department and Fire Department
- December 3, 2018 at the Old Courthouse
- December 4, 2018 at the Courthouse
- December 5, 2018 at the Georgia State Patrol Office
Pastor Alma J. Parker says the prayer is held at First Responder locations and City Official offices because, they are the ones protecting us. She believes if they are covered in prayer, our nation will be covered in prayer. Their hope is that other church leaders in the community will come out and join them as they spread the word.
In His Glory Praise and Worship Center urges the public to come out next year and participate. For further information contact: Pastor James Parker Jr. or Pastor Alma J. Parker at (478)- 997- 1602.
