MACON, Ga. -- A man was found guilty Wednesday for pouring lighter fluid on and robbing a GameStop employee in 2016.

Derrick Dwayne Lamb, 25, was convicted of the armed robbery and aggravated assault by Judge Howard Simms.

According to a release from the District Attorney's Office, evidence showed that Lamb entered the GameStop on Presidential Pkwy. around 10:20 a.m. on June 30, 2016.

As Lamb appeared to be browsing items in the store, he doused lighter fluid on the clerk, demanded money and threatened at least twice to set him on fire if he didn't give him money.

The release said that Lamb wasn't wearing a mask during the robbery and was later identified as the suspect in a photo line-up.

He will be sentenced after a pre-sentencing investigation by a probation officer and could face a maximum life sentence.
