BIBB COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) - A woman has been arrested in the shooting death of another woman in Macon on Valentine's Day.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, 43-year-old April Powell, of Macon, has been arrested and charged in the death of Ernestine Frye.

Investigators say they were called to a home along Montpelier Avenue Wednesday night, just before 6:15 p.m., about a person shot. When they arrived, they found Frye had been shot once. She later died at the hospital.

Powell is charged with murder and currently does not have a bond.
