MACON, Ga. -- A man and a woman were arrested Monday for allegedly attempting to sell stolen guitar equipment.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office 29-year-old Brandon Hall and 23-year-old Samantha Evans are both charged with entering auto and theft by deception.

A 24-year-old man reported that his Ford Focus ran out of gas on I-75 south Sunday evening. He claimed that while he walked to get more fuel, musical equipment was stolen from the vehicle.

The sheriff's office stated that the victim called the Guitar Center on Billy Williamson Dr. to alert them about the theft just in case his equipment was brought in.

On Monday, a Guitar Center employee called deputies because Hall and Evans did in fact try to sell the stolen equipment there.

Both of their bonds were set at $1,950. Hall also has a hold placed for the Houston County Sheriff's Office.

Those with more information about the incident should contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751 -7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
