MGSU's Gay-Straight Alliance registers new voters
MACON, Ga. -- Middle Georgia State University's (MGSU) Gay-Straight Alliance wants midstate residents to be a part of the political process.
The campus group organized a voter registration drive on MGSU's Macon campus on Wednesday between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The Gay-Straight Alliance worked with the Middle Georgia chapter of the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, a national awards program that recognizes groups dedicated to increasing student voting rates.
Non-partisan group the New Georgia Project, which works to register new voters, helped with the registration.
