Middle Georgia sees lowest gas prices in the state at start of 2018
MACON, Ga. -- Ahead of a winter slump in gas prices, the cost of going to the pump is now holding steady.
According to AAA, the first week of the new year has been historically strong for oil prices.
However, a low winter demand for fuel usually pushes gas prices down for the two months following the beginning of the new year.
Locally, Georgia is now seeing an average gas price of $2.36, up ten cents from 2017.
At the time of this story, Warner Robins had some of the cheapest gas prices in all of Georgia at $2.27.
