MACON, Ga. -- Bicycle riders in Macon rode for recycling on Thursday.
Bike Walk Macon hosted a "re-cycle ride" bike party in downtown Macon. Participants were encouraged to recycle worn clothing by showing up in thrifted outfits to bike around fro 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Bike Walk Macon partnered with the downtown thrift store Wear. Your Dollar Makes Change, whose profits benefit Daybreak and other groups in Macon.
Re-Cycle Macon, a program of Centenary Community Ministries, Inc. was also on hand for participants to donate bicycles. The program provides bikes to those in need of dependable transportation.
