Overnight fire burns vacant home in Macon

MACON, Ga -- A fire occurred Thursday morning at a vacant home on Villa Avenue near Thompson Road in Macon.

Macon-Bibb 911 Dispatch says the call went out around 4:15 a.m. after receiving multiple calls about the fire.

Investigator Ben Gleason with the Bibb County Fire Department said the home is a total loss and the fire was intentionally set.

They believe no one was inside the house at the time of the fire.
