Pedestrian Fatality Review Board discusses dangerous Macon intersections
MACON, Ga. -- The Macon-Bibb County Pedestrian Fatality Review Board met Tuesday to talk about dangerous intersections in Macon.
They reviewed the top ten worst intersections in Macon for car accidents, the worst being Gray Highway and Shurling Drive.
In 2015, this intersection saw 59 wrecks where 28 people were injured.
Board member Tom Ellington spoke about some of the initiatives to make these and other areas more pedestrian-friendly.
"There are other areas where we can make pedestrians more visible, there's some places where we don't have sidewalks, where sidewalks need to be installed," he said.
Other dangerous intersections include Riverside Drive and Northside Drive and Mercer University Drive and Log Cabin Drive.
